After the initial excitement watching the train leave the depot and Anchorage, what was there to do? Yes, we looked out windows, traveled through tunnels, saw moose, eagles, and a wolf, but it took nearly four hours to reach Seward. No problem, teach the youngsters to play UNO. It's an easy game to learn and can be played over and over. Perfect for a trip. (Sorry Rachel. You got to play again and again and again after Aidan got home!)

And, why not explore Grandma's MP3 files. Hey, there's even songs on hear that Aidan knows!

Finally, we're in Seward and there's room to run and tease Dad. However, these two boys still aren't a match for their Dad. Maybe in the years to come.

Sitting agin, waiting for lunch in Seward.

In Seward we spent time at the Alaska Sea Life Center. We watched the fish get fed - what a frenzy! Angelina was a good role model for Ethan and Aidan by reading information and listening to explanations. The boys enjoyed being captain of the crabbing boat and shared their catch of plastic crabs with us. And yes, we got up close to many of the birds and wildlife.
On our walk back to the train station, Grandpa really liked seeing the boys in front of a retail store sign that said "Well mannered children welcome".

The boys found a small park with play equipment and we stopped for a while.

Then it was time to hurry to the train.

Several hours later we're back in Anchorage. We'd had a very long day. Too long for Aidan.
