Great memories

We were fortunate recently to have Angelina and Wayne visit and to have Keren, Carolyn and Blake here for three weeks. I enjoyed having them here and all that we were able to do together. Angelina's friends and Keren threw a bridal shower for Angelina. I had such a good time visiting with the guests that I didn't get any good photos. There were runs to Golden Donuts at all hours (that's the drawback to a 24-hour doughnut shop)! However, no photos of buttermilk bars and other sugary goods.
We also took the tram up Mt. Alyeska and spent time up top. Great scenery for the adults and an opportunity for the little ones to check out snow left over from winter. Once again - I was having too much fun to take many photos. Here's one of Wayne and Angelina with Blake and Carolyn on the swing overlooking the valley .


The day we set aside to go bike riding was another one in Anchorage's 31-day streak of rain so we headed off to Chuck E. Cheese where every child can find delight. Carolyn played games, enjoyed rides by herself and with Blake. After Blake enjoyed a ride with Carolyn at the wheel of a racing car, he just slid right behind her and grabbed the driver's wheel! Luckily, Carolyn was a happy passenger and had a great second ride.

After naptime, we grabbed a break between episodes of rain and took off for the park, where Carolyn climbed to the top of the "rocket" and Blake showed his independence and glee in going down the slide by himself and doing it again, and again, and again.


They played on the swings, in the sand, and climbing wherever they could until we finally headed home. Fortunately, we got home just before the rain started again.
Rain or shine, I enjoyed playing and visiting. Come back again!
