An oven in the kitchen!

Finally, on Sunday I got to bake a pizza in the oven and make a fresh salad. Yes, I had running water in August, but the garbage disposal wasn't hooked up to electricity until just until Alan headed back to work on the 18th. It seemed like quite a privilege to prepare a meal with an oven that heated up faster than I could prepare the pizza to go into it and a garbage disposal to dispose of produce scraps. (Our very old oven took at least 30 minutes to preheat.) Here's a picture of the oven at work and its environs. I spared you from having to look at a picture of the garbage disposal.

Both the cabinet maker and the tile craftsman are slower than promised. However, I have hope and promises that at least the tile backsplash will be completed within the next two weeks.
