Kitchen Update, Part II

Yes, I took a photo of dishes in the sink. I was delighted finally in August when the rest of the lower cabinets were in. That meant the countertops and sinks were next. I had running water in the kitchen again and could wash dishes at the kitchen sink! I was disappointed to find out the new dishwasher would have to sit in its box in the living room until after the floor was done.

The range hood and cooktop are in place. There's no gas hooked up yet, but they look pretty and won't get very dirty if I can't use 'em!

I tried to get a good photo of the countertop. It looks much better than my photo. It's called moss, and is a green with tiny white and gold hints of color. That's why it will look good with the tiles below in the backsplash. Coming September 17th!

That's all the progress for August. But Alan came back to town (after leaving July 26) and things are getting done again. Mark Card came over this evening and put in the gas pipes working below the kitchen floor. Will I have a cooktop working before morning?

Four-year old Isaac helped his dad until he just couldn't stay awake any longer. What a good guy!
