This summer was definitely a warmer Alaskan summer than the previous two. And I moved my potted gladiolas to the side of the house so they could get morning and afternoon sun. They rewarded me by multiplying and giving me many blossoming stalks. Last year I brought my only potted gladiola into the house in late September to force the blossoms, which came about the time we had an early snow. This year I have gorgeous blossoms outside while we still have pleasant fall days! One stalk broke off and I brought it inside with some of the pom pom dahlias.

I recently picked the last delicious strawberries from the hanging baskets and today I picked the end of the raspberries for this summer.
