Together for Valentine's Day

We spent the last couple of Valentine's Days separated as Alan was working in remote locations. This year we were both at home! (The flip side of him being out of work. Gotta look for that silver lining.) He brought home some beautiful fragrant flowers and made a delicious dinner. I made a small chocolate cake and talked him into going dancing. We danced to music by the Alaska Button Box Gang until we could dance no more! They are a botton box accordion group and we danced polkas, foxtrots, waltzes, and the hokey pokey. What fun!

I'm also posting a tribute to our little gorilla. Six years ago for Valentine's Day Alan gave me this cute little gorilla. Not only is he white with red accents, but when you push his tummy he speaks phrases like "I love ya, Honey", "Give me a big kiss", "Kiss my lips" and more. When Alan goes out of town to work, he tucks the gorilla in and one never knows when I'll hear the gorilla during a phone call.

I'm lucky I married a man that will take these photos and tuck a little white gorilla in his bags, even after all the years we've been married!
